Shopify conversion diagnostics

Understand what shoppers see — and why they may hesitate.

Velora compares your Shopify product data with your live product page, identifies the most important inconsistencies and missing reassurance, and shows the evidence behind every finding.

  • Installed from the Shopify App Store
  • Billed through Shopify Managed Pricing
  • Read-only diagnosis by default — nothing on your store is changed

The real Findings view

One finding, with its evidence attached.

This is the Findings interface merchants use, with an anonymised example product. Every section below is generated from observed data, never from a template.

Example product

Product images not detected on the live page

Your Shopify product holds several images, but none were detected in the captured product page markup.

What Velora observed

  • 6 of 6 product images in Shopify have no alt text.
  • Shopify holds 6 images for this product, but 0 product images were detected on the Desktop page.
  • Shopify holds 6 images for this product, but 0 product images were detected on the Mobile page.

Observed comparison, not an AI interpretation.

Captured Desktop and Mobile at the time of the diagnosis

What this may mean

Based on the available evidence, shoppers may reach this page without the visuals you expect them to see, which may create hesitation.

Supporting evidence

From Shopify

  • Alt-text coverage in Shopify: 0%.
  • Shopify image count: 6.

From the live page

  • 0 product image elements were detected in the markup. (page HTML · pattern-matched · Desktop)
  • 0 product image elements were detected in the markup. (page HTML · pattern-matched · Mobile)

Evidence pointing the other way

  • A product media gallery component was detected. (page HTML · pattern-matched · Desktop)
  • A product media gallery component was detected. (page HTML · pattern-matched · Mobile)

Evidence

Strongly supported — observed directly on your Shopify data and your live page.

What this does not prove

  • Read from the page's raw HTML. We could not confirm whether the element is actually visible to a shopper.
  • Lazy-loaded galleries often ship only the first image in the initial HTML.
  • Velora read the page HTML only. It did not inspect the rendered visual state.

Recommended correction

Check that the product gallery is present in the delivered page and not loaded only after interaction.

Example finding. Store name, domain and identifiers are removed.

Shopify versus your live page

The difference between what you entered and what is delivered.

Velora reads your Shopify product data, then reads the product page a shopper actually receives, and reports where the two do not agree.

6 product images, 0 with alt text

0 product images detected in the captured markup

A gallery discrepancy worth checking on the live page

Not detected in the captured page

Product description of 140 characters

Same short description delivered to shoppers

Too little information to answer common pre-purchase questions

Confirmed absent from Shopify

No shipping policy content published

No shipping reassurance detected on the product page

Delivery expectations are left unanswered at the decision moment

Confirmed absent from Shopify

3 variants configured

Variant selector detected, price detected

No discrepancy — this part of the page agrees with Shopify

"Not detected" means Velora did not find it in the page it captured. It is not proof that it is missing for every shopper.

Evidence, not guesses

Every finding carries where it came from.

Velora separates deterministic observations from interpretation. Rule-derived findings are never presented as AI reasoning.

Provenance

Each statement names its source: your Shopify data, or the product page Velora captured.

Device and timestamp

Desktop and mobile captures are recorded separately, with the time they were read.

Extraction method

How the signal was obtained — for example structured data, or a pattern match in the page HTML.

Evidence going the other way

Signals that contradict a finding are shown next to it instead of being hidden.

Evidence strength

Stated in words, based on how much observed data supports the finding.

Limitations

What the evidence does not prove is written out, in plain language, on the finding itself.

Prioritised findings

The most important findings first, in the order shoppers meet them.

Findings are grouped by the moment in the visit they belong to, so you fix the earliest blocker rather than the loudest one.

  1. 1. They find you

How the product is described and presented before the page even opens.

  2. 2. They look

What the product page actually delivers: visuals, description, variants.

  3. 3. They hesitate

Missing reassurance — delivery, returns, contact, and unanswered questions.

  4. 4. They buy

What stands between an interested shopper and a completed order.

Velora does not publish success probabilities or revenue estimates. It reports what it observed and how strongly it is supported.

Product selection

You choose the product page Velora looks at.

Pick the product that matters to you right now — a new launch, a bestseller, a page you suspect. Velora diagnoses that page, and tells you which products it can and cannot reach.

  • Only published products with a publicly reachable product page can be analysed.
  • Products that cannot be reached are listed with the reason, not silently skipped.
  • You can run the diagnosis again on another product at any time.

Shopify integration and trust

Built to Shopify App Store standards.

OAuth installation through Shopify

You install Velora from the Shopify App Store and approve the access it requests. No tokens to paste.

Shopify Managed Pricing

Subscriptions, upgrades and cancellations are handled by Shopify. Velora never processes a card.

Store-level data isolation

Every diagnosis, finding and capture belongs to one store and is only visible to that store's account.

No customer or order data

The current diagnostic does not read customers, orders or sales data.

Nothing changes during a diagnosis

A diagnosis only reads. Velora does not modify your Shopify content while it runs.

AI fixes require your action

Where an AI fix is offered, it is applied only after you review it and explicitly confirm.
